SOFI GREEN

Sofi Green" hails from N.E., Washington DC, by way of Brooklyn, NYC. She is a TV personality, music artist and fashion designer. Her fashion pieces and bold style have been seen on national publications and blogs such as, YBF, Global Grind, Uptown, Glamour, and Hip-hop weekly. Sofi was awarded "best dressed" for the BET's Hip-hop awards during 20l2 in the Hip-Hop weekly. She was also on the cover of Black Hair Care magazine's anniversary issue and an extra issue last fall.

Fashionably, Sofi is a force to be reckoned with. She remains the "only" artist that Sarah Jessica Parker's stylist has worked with. Sofi was featured on Vogue's style website after shooting a fashion "Film Noir" with director Robert Jason, (VH1, Janet Jackson) Nina Poon (Transform me) and Tracy Cox. At this current juncture, Sofi's line is getting properly developed and will be sold in a very well known store in NYC before the end of 2014

Musically, Sofi is an evolving piece of art. She began her professional training in dance at Duke Ellington school of the arts, while discovering her talent for rap and singing. Sofi co-produced her 1st big song, "Freakazoid" discussing fun, sexual liberation with Grammy Award winning producer, "Syience" and this led her to receiving a record deal with Rico Love. After, being noted for rhyming on mix tapes that featured rising stars such as, Wale, and Tabi Bonney her "new" sound was the strike that lit the match.

Sofi found her lane which was Renegade Urban pop music. She fuses trap, pop, hip-hop, edm and r&b. Her first single, that she released was about finding the perfect love making partner, "Freak". This song debuted on the national radio station, Hot 97 last year, and showcased the culmination of these genres. This song was premiered by Hot 97 Dj Enuff. In addition, she co-produced and penned the single, as well. This led to Sofi receiving a publishing deal partnership with Imagen music. This spring, Sofi was told by Power 105.1 DJ Envy to recut Kcamp's hit single , "Aint nothin to cut that Bitch off" which led to DJ Money playing it on WKYS's 93.9 mix show. Currently, Sofi is in the studio with the likes of Grammy Award winning producer & writer, Bangladesh & notable producers, Chad Beatz, Pierre Medor, Sonaro finishing up her EP that will be released this fall.

Soon after this partnership was made, Sofi's music single landed her a co-hosting VJ spot on MTV2's video countdown show, "Week In Jams" with Power 105.1's DJ Envy, & Charlamagne Tha God.

Whether its utilizing her degree in theatre & communications from Fordham for hosting national TV shows, designing clothes, gracing the red carpet or getting radio spins on 93.9, HOT 97; Sofi is indeed an emerging superstar who's unapologetically raw, cultured and in tune with pulse of her culture.
